The Philips Avent Ultra Start set includes 2 dummies for newborns aged 0 to 2 months. Each Avent soother is small, lightweight and ring-free. This newborn soother features an orthodontic teat; the food-grade silicone soother can be stored and sterilised in its microwave-safe case.
The Philips Avent pack contains two Ultra Start dummies and a travel case that also doubles as a steriliser. The SCF075/13 version is suitable for babies aged 0 to 2 months.
The shield is small, lightweight and ring-free to suit newborns’ mouths and faces. The teat has a narrow neck and an orthodontic design to follow the mouth’s natural movements.
The silicone dummy is made from food-grade material. It is free from BPA, BPS, phthalates, PVC and latex. The shape of the teat facilitates a smooth transition later on to the Avent Ultra Air and Ultra Soft ranges.
Place the teats in the case and add the amount of water specified by the manufacturer. The recommended cycle lasts 3 minutes in the microwave. Follow the power setting indicated in the instructions and allow the contents to cool before handling.
Inspect the teat before each use by pulling it in various directions. Discard the dummy if it shows signs of wear, cracks or deformation. Philips recommends replacing it after four weeks for hygiene reasons. Do not immerse it in sweet substances or medicines.
