Avent Ultra Start contains 2 soothers and a reusable case. The Avent soother is designed to fit a baby’s small mouth from 0–2 months. This soother for newborns is lightweight, has an anatomically shaped teat and is made from food-grade silicone, with rigid components comprising 80 per cent plant-based materials.
This pack contains two dummies and a case for storing and sterilising them. The Avent dummy is compact and lightweight, making it ideal for the first few months.
The symmetrical, anatomically shaped teat is made from food-grade silicone. The silicone dummy is BPA-free. Philips states that, in this version, the dummies and the case contain 80 per cent plant-based materials on a mass balance basis.
Clean the teats before first use and after each use. Place them in the case, add the specified amount of water and follow the instructions regarding microwave power and duration. Wait for them to cool down before giving them to your baby.
Check the teat by pulling it in various directions. Discard any damaged or misshapen teats. Do not immerse them in sweet foods or medicines. The manufacturer recommends replacing the dummies after four weeks’ use for hygiene reasons.
